Welcome to episode 21 of Baz Brick VR
Today we look at Wall-E, set 21303 which is one of the cutest sets. Pixar did so well to make a simple robot have so many emotions with its eyes only. The set has 676 pieces and is the 12th part of the Ideas series and is Disney franchised. The set is based on the project “WALL•E” by user ‘MacLane’. The set was released in September 2015 and retired in December 2016. It cost 90 Australia dollars, 40 UK pounds, 60 Euros or 60 US dollars. The set is small at 19cm high or 7.5 inches, 26cm wide or 10inches when arms are extended and 9cm or 4 inches deep.
The set is very adjustable. The neck, head, eyes, arms and fingers all move. Included is the last-plant-on-Earth element. The trunk on the front can open and hold the plant. Wall-E’s tracks do move but are more aesthetic. As with all idea sets the booklet contains information about the designer as well as the animated pixar movie. A microbuild cockroach would have been nice. Overall I love this set and Wall-E spends most of the time on my shelf looking at the plant with a curious yet worried look in his eyes.
